Maktab Children’s Program
Kids, Grades 3 – 5
Our Maktab Children’s Program creates an inclusive learning environment where children can explore their religion and embrace their responsibilities towards Allah in a fun, creative, and interactive manner. Through our comprehensive curriculum, children engage in a variety of activities and subjects, fostering a deep understanding and love for Islam. At this time, Maktab is only offered in-person, at 5pm Central Time.
After-School Programming
We are an after-school program, spanning a duration of 28 weeks on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Each session consists of 2 hours. The first hour for Quranic reading and the second hour for various Islamic studies.
Age-Level Learning
Our children’s program incorporates interactive teaching methods and age-level content, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.
Love for the Faith
We aim to instill a solid foundation of Islamic knowledge and spiritual growth while nurturing a genuine love for faith. A memorable love that children can carry with them throughout their life, insha’Allah.
Maktab After-School Program
Cost: $250/month | Duration: 28 Weeks
Classes Begin: Week of September 18th, 2023
Classes End: Week of May 6th, 2024
The curriculum for the Maktab After-School Program includes:
Quranic Reading: Develop proficiency in reciting the Quran.
Akhlaq (Character): Duʿa memorization and teaching Islamic manners of various age appropriate topics
Islamic Studies: Covering a broad range of topics including:
Seerah (Biography) of the Prophet ﷺ
Pillars of Faith
Pillars of Iman
Hadith (Sayings of the Prophet ﷺ)
Selected Surahs (Chapters) from the Quran
Stories of the Prophets
Program Offerings:
Comprehensive materials provided for each student, including Qur’ans, reading Qaidahs, and student workbooks.
In-class project materials available, such as pencils, papers, boards, and other necessary supplies.
Engaging activities and interactive break times incorporated into the program.
Weekly teacher updates on individual students as well as time appropriate homework assignments
